Vintage Scales

Grit will be stocked up with vintage items from our weekend in Hillsville, Virginia.

As you can see I have a soft spot for vintage scales.  Truth be told…vintage scales are one of my favorite decor pieces.  There is no end to where you can use these darlings.  Beyond the kitchen, they look great nestled in amongst books on the bookshelf, loaded down with homemade bars of soap in the bathroom or wherever else your heart desires.

And simply because they are so darn cute

Simplicity of days gone by!

Miles and miles of walking and I only found one enamel pitcher, however, it is a beauty and worth every mile.  I am sure it will look lovely on someone’s table full of fresh flowers.

Speaking of flowers my hydrangeas are beautiful this year. I cut the ones that had started to dry on the bush the other morning once the dew was gone.  Fall is on its way…

  • I love all the vintage scales, but I have yet to find one like that in my travels. Enamelware pitchers though, I find a ton of them. I like the one you found though. Looks like you had fun.
