DIY Mini Christmas Banner

Mini Christmas Banner

I have been working on my antique booth displays for Christmas.

I thought it would be fun to add a few mini banners to display across sleighs and wagons.

If you want something fancier than shipping tags you can find all kinds of mini tags at most craft stores.

Place your stencils on your shipping tags and measure if you want to ensure they’re all in the same spot.

 I simply eyed mine.

Dip your foam brush into the craft paint and dab it onto another card so you don’t have a lot of paint on the brush.  When it comes to using a stencil you want a dry brush.  As you dab the paint over the stencil keep in mind not to go over the edge of the stencil…easy to do with mini tags!

Leave your letters to dry and then remove the stencils.

I seemed to have applied a little too much paint and the red bled out underneath the stencil.  Bleeding through can also happen if you don’t dab and you move the brush from side to side.

Practice…Practice…Practice

Some might scrap it and try again but I have an affinity for things that don’t turn out just right…..perfectly imperfect as I often say.

Attach the tags to the jute twine with thinner twine or string if you want them to stay in place.
