Word of the Year – 2016

Have you heard the chit-chat about having a word for the year?

I was perusing online when I noticed the question being asked.  After seeing the question asked a couple of times I asked myself and the word Courage came to mind.

In that moment I wanted a different word…I don’t know why…

The word felt strong…maybe stronger than I feel and that scared me.

How could this be my word for 2016…

and then Jag Cag Design asked the question on Facebook.

and I answered…Courage…

Word of the Year - 2016

and now it all makes sense…

As I sit and write this blog post I am reminded of the movie I watched when we flew home to the West Coast of Canada for Christmas.

Cinderella…in the movie, just before Cinderella’s mom dies she tells her to have

Courage & Be Kind

I loved the saying, but soon forgot about it as we enjoyed the hustle and bustle of the holidays with our family.

The word now seems fitting as we embark on a New Year.

I hope I will take a few chances with my business and share myself with you so that my online readers can know a little bit more about me.

If you have a word for 2016 or you are just thinking of one now I would love to hear from you.  Will you place the word in your office, on a vision board, bracelet, fridge door?

What will your word be for 2016?

Kindly,

Jane

Courage

  • Oh, Jane I love the look of your blog so much and I am so glad I’m seeing more from you. I think we e-met a year ago last fall in Karen Bertelsen’s course. Your photos are breathtaking and now the words to match. I’m so glad to hear you are taking up Courage as your word. I hope 2016 is so very fulfilling for you.
I’m not sure I’ve settled on a word yet but SPARKLE seems to be playing with my mind and spirit. I’m gonna go with it and see where it takes me.
I look forward to seeing more of you. Thanks so much for sharing.
