Fall Porch Decorating|Barn Update

Happy Fall Y’all

Fall Porch Decorating. Update on building our barn and decorating the porch for Fall.

I love early morning’s on the farm.

The cows are peacefully grazing along the fence line and the horses in our neighbor’s stable cut a magnificent silhouette against the emerging sun.

It makes for an incredibly beautiful morning sipping coffee on the porch.

This year I thought I would decorate the barn porch for Fall.

With dwindling daylight hours, work on the barn takes on a much slower pace…but it is still coming along.

Our old ’51 Ford is not running so my hubby had to push it there so we could build the porch.

I wasn’t about to ask him to push it out of my way for pictures 😉

I felt the traditional orange pumpkins suited the old-timey feel of the porch.

The leafy stuff in my rusty bucket is ornamental kale.

I came across our little red Christmas truck in our storage and figured it would look just as cute with pumpkins and hay.

Old sap buckets are perfect for hanging on ladders.

I added some dried leaves and a few mini pumpkins.

Strips of rusty tin look cute on the pumpkin stems.

My  ninety-year-old neighbor asked when I would be opening because she would like to come and visit…how nice is that!

I let her know that the barn was storage for us, but she could come and sit on the porch with me.

If you look to the left I have this large trunk and wagon.

The trunk is a monster and not something I can move…not sure what we’re doing with it!

I also have a load of wagons coming(60 of them!) if anyone is looking for a rusty old wagon.

So what are you decorating for Fall?

As always I would love for you to share in the comments below.

Kindly, xo

Jane

    • Hi Carlene, thank-you 🙂 I was thinking about you and your beautiful garden on the weekend. We’ve been planting and I hope all my little flowers/shrubs love their new home.

  • Oh I’m in LOVE! Your barn turned out perfectly rusty, chippy and delightful! I’m lovin’ all of it from the cornstalks to buckets and wonderful red truck! I would love to purchase a rusty wagon from you for my potting shed. Will you have them at Gibson Mill?

Thanks for the autumn inspiration! And I think I mentioned in a post….you have me wanting to redo the entire outside of our wood shop! Maybe someday…. 🙂

    • Hi Jamey, I would love to see what you do with your wood shop. When we were getting mulch the guys were doing just that. There was this building on the property and they were adding old wood. It looked awesome!

      You’re so creative…go for it!

      thanks for the visit 🙂
