Christmas with Stencils

Christmas Stencils

When Carole of Garden Up Green asked if I would be interested in taking part in a “Christmas with Stencils,” I knew I wanted to have fun with it.

Carole is a gal whom I’ve never met but has welcomed me with open arms into the blogging world and she has become my go to for garden and farm information.

Going into this project I had no idea what I was going to stencil.

Holiday preparations were in full swing around here

and

I had already created a sleigh rides scene on my barn porch and a farmhouse winter wonderland on our entry table.

I knew I had some awesome holiday stencils from Funky Junk’s Old Sign Stencil

and a whole lotta junk to work with!

With several ideas spinning around in my head I finally came up with something.

Stenciled

Wooden Tree Farm

Country Christmas with stencils and wooden Christmas Trees.

Go big or go home…we didn’t create just one tree…we’ve got a whole dang tree farm 🙂

I had shown my hubby Funky Junk’s reclaimed tree from last year(he loved it!) and the next thing I knew we were in the wooden tree business!

We had some broken tables that had the chippy paint perfect for these little trees.

There is not doubt we have had fun making these trees and stenciling the large one.

It makes you feel like a kid again getting lost in the magic of the season.

Wooden Christmas Trees

As far as stenciling goes you just want to make sure to keep your brush dry!

It is really nothing more than a dry brush that you tap up and down and a little patience.

I have also learned that I like to have several brushes in an array of sizes.

Farmhouse Christmas. Wooden Christmas Trees in Antique Stands

This set of trees fit perfectly in these antique Christmas tree stands.

Christmas truck loaded with DIY Stenciled Christmas trees.

Toot toot…truck’s warmed up, hop in.

We are on our way to see what holiday fun these gals have in store for us 🙂

  • Oh, those trees!!! Who could resist one – or five? Keeping a stash of working material around is one of my favorite ways to be ahead of the game when inspiration strikes. Sounds like you have that mastered!

You are so talented, Jane, and it’s been fun to do this Christmas project with you!
