Vintage Basket filled with tulips.

Spring is in full bloom here and the farmer’s market is once again bursting with flowers from a local grower.

I look forward to this time of year.

Watching our yard come to life and enjoying the beautiful blooms grown by others.

Most Saturday’s I pick up a bouquet of fresh flowers to enjoy and photograph.

I usually use something vintage & unique for my vase.

If you’re setting your table for Easter, a basket is a great idea.

Dried flowers would be an option so you don’t need to worry about water.

In this case I used flower frogs to hold the tulips in place for my photo.

You could also add a bowl of water in the base.

I do that often when I have a vessel that may not hold water well or not at all.

Vintage Flower Vase Ideas. Old glass battery jar is perfect for spring blooms

This old glass battery jar is one of my favorites.

It’s out of Chicago and I love the heart on the front.

What I like about these…

They’re heavy!

You can add lot’s of blooms or branches without it tipping over.

Vintage French Canning Jar perfect for pink tulips

And what is there not to love about a French canning jar?

The color and advertising on the front is simply beautiful.

I purchased this one from Sweet Olive Revival

Have a peek at her online store for some beautiful, unique pieces.

  • Flower frogs have been a favorite of mine to sell over the years, Jane, but I was wishing yesterday that I had kept a few more for myself as I was arranging some branches in a basket. I continue to get lost in your photos…you capture such pure beauty, my friend!
