For the love of stencils!
When you go junkin as much as we do, you gather all kinds of treasures.
Often these treasures find their way into my antique booth’s right away…others wait in line. Sometimes you walk by a piece that for some reason seems to speak to you…but you don’t always know why.
This rustic piece of wood was once one half of an old book press.
Even though the book press was broken, the look of the old wood was unmistakably charming.
My mind quickly went to work with thoughts of the many ways I could repurpose it. My initial thought… a top to an old table…but with the unique sides, it felt more like a tray.
Since it was freezing out I opted for a smaller indoor project and some baking.
I poured myself a cup of coffee…and got to work.
The house smelled good as I jumped between snapping pictures, peanut butter cookies and pumpkin muffins!
When I’m not working you’ll find me in the kitchen trying to reinvent our favorite comfort
food into somewhat healthier versions of themselves.
