Barn Show

Barn Show. Getting ready for a barn show

Welcome to the chaos that ensues before the barn show!

Every month I take part in a barn show at Chartreuse in Thomasville, NC.

The beautiful barn is located an hour from our house.

So I gather up my junk on the porch and try to make sense of what is going to the show.

Being a “junker” and not a designer…you never know what you’ll find in my space.

Barn Show. Old white tool box

I do try to think of an overall theme…in this case, spring is in the air.

This old wooden tool box would look cute with spring flowers on the porch or kitchen table.

The small flower pots are from a vintage reproduction line I carry.

Super cute with the scalloped edge saucer.

Antique Metal Letters

I never pass up numbers when I hit the flea markets…

Flower Garden Tote|Barn Show

Another garden tote that may or may not make it into the truck 😉

I stenciled the garden tote last year using Funky Junk’s Old Sign Stencils and could not part with it at the time.

Antique Dress Form

She’s ready for the garden and a new home.

Dress forms are something I have an affinity for.

I have sold several and have a fondness for the ones that are tattered.

They make for a great statement piece in a room or booth display.

Antique Wooden Window with Cotton Wreath

I have one of these “Potting Shed” signs going to the barn.

The old beadboard is perfect for rustic outdoor garden signs.

An old wooden arched window frame will probably anchor the back of my booth.

I get an idea in my head, but I never really know until I start putting everything into place.

We don’t often talk about the “behind the scenes.”

What goes on before a show or owning an antique booth.

This is different for everyone depending on their style and what they sell.

If you plan to attend the barn show it kicks off Thursday, March 2 at 9 am!

Show runs March 2-4

9 am – 5 pm

Hope to see you there 🙂

Kindly, xo

  • Jane,
I love this behind the scenes look at the preparation for the barn sale, there’s a lot of work, and heart, that go into sales and shows and it’s neat to get a glimpse of that in your post. You’re bringing such fabulous things that I know it’s going to be a big success! xo
